Meet the Coach

Hi, I’m Xee (pronounced like see). If my family and friends could describe me in one word, it’d be ‘overachiever’. I’ve never had a nonchalant bone in my body. I was driven, I worked hard, and I could execute on anything I put my mind to. On paper, I looked like the poster child of success- a corporate high-performer with a fast trajectory.

Then I took on a new role from hell. I had no transition plans, no prior documented procedures, and I got caught in a dirty, corporate political web that I had no care to be in. I tried my best by myself but it wasn’t good enough. I realized that even though I was proud with my efforts given the circumstances, my opinion didn’t matter in this setting.

I started spiraling and questioning everything I knew about my capabilities. Within 3 months in the new role, I knew I needed to get out. But how would that look on my resume? What if I can’t find something else? I’ve already spent so much time here…

I had to come up with a way for me to know for certain that I would be making the right choice for me, no matter what the outcome was. I thought through 3 main things:

  1. What do I need to make it worthwhile to leave?
  2. What would it cost me to stay?
  3. If I were to stay, who would I be 1 year from now?

A light clicked on for me- Nothing mattered more than being at peace with myself at the end of the day. And right now, I was not. The change happened. I left for a different, better company within 3 weeks.

Then a restlessness began that I couldn’t shake. A deep desire to help others be certain in uncertainty; to trust that they can make decisions that align with their values, no matter what others might think. The questions I asked myself previously became the basis of a framework of critical reflection points that gave me the agency to not just wait for, but decide what’s next.

A tidy, modern workspace featuring a large, light-wood desk with a slim, silver laptop displaying a simple, elegant flowchart that moves from “Dream” to “Plan” to “Do.” Beside the laptop, a neat stack of color-coded sticky notes, a sand-filled hourglass with brushed metal caps, and a single deep-green ceramic mug create a sense of organized progress. Soft, diffused daylight enters from the right, reflected gently on a white wall and casting subtle, soft shadows across the desk’s grain. The background shows a blurred, minimal shelving unit with neatly arranged neutral objects. Captured from a slightly elevated angle with balanced composition and moderate depth of field, the photographic realism style feels professional, calm, and efficient, emphasizing structure and actionable direction.

My Coaching Style

  • I like working collaboratively with my clients and providing you a safe place to explore your thoughts. My focus is on you and your definition of success. I don’t form opinions or offer advice, but rather ask questions that might give you a different perspective.
  • I like asking thoughtful questions so if you need a minute or two to reflect, I don’t mind. Take your time.
  • I understand overthinking can be problematic for high achievers and can lead down a not fun path. If I catch you overthinking, I’ll gently guide to back to using that overthinking more productively.
  • Most coaches are very high energy, which is awesome for motivation! I tend to fluctuate energy based on my clients needs. If you thrive on high-energy, great! I can meet your energy! If you’re a more reserved, introspective person who needs calmer energy, there’s a safe space for you too without having to exhaust yourself.
